🚀 Getting Started

Welcome to DoomScope! This software helps you scan websites for security weaknesses. You don’t need any special skills to use it. Just follow the steps below.

💡 System Requirements

• Operating System: Windows 10 or later, macOS 10.12 or later, or Linux (Ubuntu 18.04 or later).
• Minimum RAM: 4 GB
• Storage Space: 100 MB available space
• Internet Connection: Required for scanning websites

📦 Download & Install

To get DoomScope up and running, follow these steps:

1. Visit the Releases Page: Go to this page to download.

2. Choose the Latest Version: Look for the latest release at the top of the page. Click on the version number.

3. Select Your Operating System: You will see various files. Choose the one that matches your system:
   • For Windows, download the .exe file.
   • For macOS, download the .dmg file.
   • For Linux, download the .tar.gz file.

4. Download the File: Click on the file link to start the download.

5. Install the Software:
   • Windows:
     • Find the downloaded .exe file in your “Downloads” folder.
     • Double-click the file to start the installer.
     • Follow the on-screen instructions.
   • macOS:
     • Open your “Downloads” folder and locate the .dmg file.
     • Double-click the file.
     • Drag the DoomScope icon to your “Applications” folder.
   • Linux:
     • Open your terminal.
     • Navigate to the folder where you downloaded the .tar.gz file using the cd command.
     • Unzip the file using: tar -xvzf doomscope.tar.gz.
     • Follow the included instructions in the README.

🛠️ Usage Instructions

Once installed, you can start using DoomScope by following these simple steps:

1. Open the Application:
   • Windows: Find it in the Start Menu.
   • macOS: Open “Applications” and click on DoomScope.
   • Linux: Use the terminal to navigate to the extracted folder and run ./doomscope.

2. Enter the Website URL: In the main window, type the website you want to scan.

3. Choose Scan Type:
   • Select from options like “Basic Scan” or “Advanced Scan.” Basic Scan is quicker and checks for common issues. Advanced Scan looks deeper but takes more time.

4. Start the Scan: Click the “Scan” button. The tool will analyze the website for security issues.

5. Review Results: Once the scan is finished, results will show up. You will see a summary with any vulnerabilities found.

6. Take Action: Use the information to improve the website’s security. You can also share results with your web team if needed.
